About Hypnosis
What is Hypnosis? Through environment, experience and nature, we start becoming programmed (hypnotized) at an early age. Some of this programming is helpful while some of it is not. During a hypnosis or hypnotherapy sessions suggestions are given to the subconscious mind that are accepted as being true thus aiding in transforming negative or false beliefs, feelings and habits that came from this programming (or brainwashing).

The accepted definition of hypnosis is a state in which the critical factor of the conscious is bypassed, and selective thinking established in the subconscious.

How does hypnosis work? I like to think of it as reverse hypnosis. During your lifetime you are programmed with certain beliefs that set the course for your lifestyle. With hypnosis we get to the root of that programming that by now is deeply rooted in your subconscious, and correct the false programming and attempt to replace it with the truth that can help set you free to quit smoking, manage stress, release emotional baggage, and assist the body in healing. We have even found a connection between hypnotherapy and weight loss.

How does hypnosis feel? I guide you to a point of deep relaxation to the point between being asleep and awake. You will feel profoundly relaxed mentally and physically. It is similar to meditation where the body is relaxed but the mind has heightened awareness. Your ability to vocalize may be limited due to the level of relaxation, the limbs may feel heavy, light, tingly or numb. Some feel as if they are floating while experiencing hypnotherapy. Your perception of time may be distorted where an hour might feel like just a few minutes have passed. Clients report that hypnotherapy makes them feel focused and energized yet calm and relaxed. Hypnosis is a pleasurable experience!

Is hypnosis safe? As a certified hypnotherapist, I use advanced hypnosis, NLP, EFT, massage therapy, cognitive behavioral methods and spiritual approaches. And all of these systems are completely safe. You are aware and in control at every moment and can terminate the session at any time. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis. You can't be made to do something against your will! Hypnosis is a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience.

Will hypnosis work for me? Hypnosis can be successfully utilized by anybody with an average IQ or higher.

What Hypnosis Isn't:

Sleep - Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy is a relaxed state to the point of pre-sleep

Control/Truth Serum - If you don't want to do or talk about something during a hypnosis session then you won't.

Mystical Power/Amnesia - Most times you remember everything clearly and on rare occasions you only remember some things. The level of recall has nothing to do with the success of the hypnotherapy experience.

Zombie Trance - You are keenly aware and even hyper-attentive while the hypnotist is speaking to you.

Getting Stuck - It is impossible to "get stuck" in hypnosis.

Many people utilize hypnosis to remove mental blockages concerning health, wealth, spirituality, peace, joy and success and some even quit smoking by hypnosis!
